Heech grew up in the Philippines as a missionary kid, surrounded by stories, cultures, and communities far larger than his own. That upbringing formed in him a deep love for people and a natural ability to connect across backgrounds and traditions. Now based in the Bay Area, he considers it a privilege to document weddings in all their diversity — from quiet civil ceremonies to multi-day celebrations full of heritage, family, and joy. At the center of his work is his faith in Jesus: the foundation that shapes his gratitude, humility, and commitment to serving every couple with care. His photographs are more than documentation; they are an offering — a tribute to love, memory, and the sacred weight of a moment preserved.
In 2021, after graduating from UC Berkeley, Heech stepped into photography with a quiet conviction that stories deserved to be seen with clarity, tenderness, and truth. Over time, he learned how quickly a wedding day moves — how easily the noise can swallow the moments that matter most. Having celebrated his own marriage in 2025, he understands the blur of emotion and anticipation, the longing to slow down and be fully present. His approach is gentle and intentional, guiding couples with calm confidence so their portraits feel timeless, unforced, and deeply human. For him, photography is not about staging perfection, but about honoring the fleeting moments that become memory.
In 2023, he discovered film — first through landscapes on 35mm, and then through the way light, imperfection, and patience changed the way he saw the world. Hundreds of rolls later, film has become the quiet heartbeat of his craft. Its rawness, its honesty, its subtle unpredictability reflect the beauty he finds in real connection. This sensibility now shapes his wedding work as well: images created with intention, reverence, and an eye for the small details that often go unnoticed.
